York Link

PROJECT GOALS

York Link is a branch of the municipality of York Region’s Economic Development department that focuses on building and supporting the region’s growing tech sector. We were approached by York Link’s Senior Business
Development Advisor to help them build excitement and create a social media marketing campaign to advertise and bolster traffic for their pavilion presences at the annual Web Summit event, Collision Conference 2019. We were asked to accomplish this on a limited budget and time frame.
  

OUR SOLUTION

 We decided the best way to create the desired result was to create a “hype campaign” around York Links presence at North America’s fastest growing tech conference, positioning them as an innovative organization
of companies and a prime location for technology start-ups rivalling their biggest competition, the city of Toronto. We created several pieces of branded content for their marketing department that focused on these principles and highlighted the types of technology startups that would be showcased at the York Link pavilion: automotive, robotics, mobile, app development, etc. The media was designed to be distributed  on their online platforms by
their marketing team. To accompany our content we also provided a strategic marketing plan behind the content and distribution leading up to the event.

RESULT

The client was given the assets to use as promotional material to use prior to the conference. The content was successful in increasing awareness and building brand equity for York Link and York Region, positioning the region as an up-and-coming hub for technology and start-ups. The client was able to showcase their work in a way that drove conversion on all touch points. The media increased marketability of their product and increased brand awareness and equity thereby positioning Clearbridge Mobile further as a top tier mobile app development company within their industry. Our measurement for success on this project was in the campaigns engagement on York Link’s social platforms. Together the pieces garnered over 141,000 impressions, 1754 engagments, and were viewed over 80,800 times.
